Connected and Intentional

In Alice in Wonderland, Alice asks the Cat:
"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.

My words for this season are connected and intentional...and so that is where I've been trying to get.

I've been glad to connect with friends.

I've been grateful to connect more with Ryan (a BIG priority for us is finding time together).

I'm connecting in a Bible Study that is good and challenging for me. The women are great.

And I'm intentionally finding time to exercise. Don't be confused that I've been "unintentionally" exercising before this--because I've never really exercised. I had a great conversation with my mother-in-law awhile back about exercise. She has seven children and started walking after the last one was born and she has been walking ever since. She encouraged me to find something that would work for me. It was really helpful and I thought if she could do it with seven kids, I can do it with two! I've been able to check out lots of exercise DVDs from the library to see what I like doing and I'm actually enjoying it.

It is exciting to feel stronger and disciplined about exercising--and I can see improvement in ability! In fact, this morning I did Level 2 and Level 3 of Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred--and it was no joke, but I did it!

I'm thinking of ways to be more intentional with Quinn and Sela.

And ways to be intentional about budgets and finances.

I'm curious and intrigued and drawn to and challenged by possibilities surrounding the area of justice issues. I'm intentionally pursuing more about this with reading and attending the Justice conference in a few weeks. And thinking about more intentional action to take in this area too...

I hope to show up here a bit more...but if you don't hear from me, know that I am connecting or focusing on some way to be intentional.
