We were up at the CF Clinic this past week for a regular check up for Quinn. At our last appointment we discovered that Quinn had gained less than a pound between his November and February appointments. One change made at the February appointment was to add an additional half can of formula each night when we do Quinn's night tube feeding.
In the last three months, Quinn's appetite has GROWN! Seriously, it is remarkable!
We felt like Quinn had been gaining weight but wanted to see the "official scale" at the clinic. In February Quinn weighed 37lbs, 4.1ozs. In May, Quinn weighs 41lbs, 7.1ozs.
HE GAINED 4 POUNDS! WHAT!? SERIOUSLY!?
He also grew another inch. He feels so big and heavy! We were so thrilled and so were his doctor, nurse, and nutritionist! While the extra formula is helpful, it really is Quinn's improved eating that is making the difference.
Quinn also gave multiple vials of blood...not fun but he was a total trooper and scored a nerf gun out of the deal from the medical staff. His labs came back great which is SO wonderful. His lungs were great which always makes us glad.
For now, we just keep doing what we're doing. And enjoy a great appointment.
