Music for Monday

"I Will Offer Up My Life" by Matt Redman

I will offer up my life
In spirit and truth,
Pouring out the oil of love
As my worship to You
In surrender I must give my every part;
Lord, receive the sacrifice
Of a broken heart

CHORUS:

Jesus, what can I give, what can I bring
To so faithful a friend, to so loving a King?
Savior, what can be said, what can be sung
As a praise of Your name
For the things You have done?
Oh my words could not tell, not even in part
Of the debt of love that is owed
By this thankful heart

You deserve my every breath

For You've paid the great cost;
Giving up Your life to death,
Even death on a cross
You took all my shame away,
There defeated my sin
Opened up the gates of heaven
And have beckoned me in

Jesus, what can I give, what can I bring
To so faithful a friend, to so loving a King?
Savior, what can be said, what can be sung
As a praise of Your name
For the things You have done?
Oh my words could not tell, not even in part
Of the debt of love that is owed
By this thankful heart

The weeks since Valentine's Day have been full and we've all been cycling through illness. It has been a l o n g s t r e t c h. We are all eager to be well. At the same time. This morning Quinn and Sela are still asleep. I'm actually all ready for the day. Ryan is gearing up for a return to work after a week and a half off. The house is quiet.

This week Quinn turns 5! Sela has been talking up a STORM including yesterday waving goodbye at the door and saying, "Thanks for coming...See you later!" What! Sela will be 19 months on Friday!

We have a new little nephew...Phinehas Luther...who arrived on Saturday morning. And we got to have a family shower for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law on Sunday for their little boy who will arrive in May. Awesome to celebrate new life.

Thinking about margins, rest, John 11, and what is life-giving. Thinking about Japan. Thinking about Libya. Thinking about Newberg.

Hope to write some more soon...
