Share the Love for Quinn: Happy Valentine's Day

A Valentine's Day Message from Quinn...

video

Happy Valentine's Day to one and all...thanks for all the love and kindness you've shown towards us as we've shared some of our journey. We deeply appreciate it! Sharing everyday via facebook has ended and the family blog continues. We will still share from time to time what is happening with Quinn as we deal with the challenge of cystic fibrosis. You can still donate from now until May to support the research that helps Quinn and others who have CF. Thanks for sharing the love for Quinn...

His peace to you,
Meredith

Music for Monday: Peace by Rich Mullins

Though we're strangers, still I love you
I love you more than your mask
And you know you have to trust this to be true
And I know that's much to ask
But lay down your fears, come and join this feast
He has called us here, you and me

And may peace rain down from Heaven
Like little pieces of the sky
Little keepers of the promise
Falling on these souls
This drought has dried
In His Blood and in His Body
In the Bread and in this Wine

Peace to you
Peace of Christ to you

And though I love you, still we're strangers
Prisoners in these lonely hearts
And though our blindness separates us
Still His light shines in the dark
And His outstretched arms
are still strong enough to reach
Behind these prison bars to set us free

So may peace rain down from Heaven
Like little pieces of the sky
Little keepers of the promise
Falling on these souls the drought has dried
In His Blood and in His Body
In this Bread and in this Wine

Peace to you
Peace of Christ to you

And may peace rain down from Heaven
Like little pieces of the sky
Like those little keepers of the promise
Falling on these souls the draught has dried
In His Blood and in His Body
In the Bread and in this Wine

Peace to you
Peace of Christ to you
Peace to you
Peace of Christ to you

Hi Mer,
I've been wanting to comment all week, trying to think of just the right way to phrase my thoughts. But, looks like time is up, so here goes.
First of all, thank you so much for sharing your heart this week. Thanks for sharing about CF and what it means for your family.
I know that we are not on the same path, but they are similar and a few things you said really touched me. What stuck out the most was when you said it feels like we're all on the same highway, but our family keeps taking detours. That is so much how I feel in our journey with Jacob. It touched me deeply when you talked about life-expectancy. I hate that it's part of your vocabulary. Alzheimers and leukemia are part of our vocabulary now (higher risks of these as Jakey gets older), as well as the stuff you'd expect with Down syndrome.
I hope you don't mind if I come here and keep track of your family from time to time. Thanks for sharing your heart. You have impacted mine.
Blessings,
Carolyn
