Check, this thing on?

It has been quite some time since I actually wrote anything and there are a hundred unposted blogs in my head. The one about our New Year's. The one about Quinn's new big boy bed. The one about the end of the pacifier. The one about the potty training attempt, version 1. The one about the potty training break. The one about my birthday. The one about the birth of our nephew. The one about the new season of Lost. The one about our 7th anniversary. The one Quinn and Ryan getting sick. The one about me getting sick. The one about us getting well. The one about Ryan getting sick again. The one about my job changing to a permanent role. The one about the random stories in the Dougherty household.

There have been quite a few. Serious. Funny. Silly. All of the above.

I suppose you have to start some where and March is a good time to do it!

This is the one about us having a baby! We are expecting in September (the 11th to be exact) and we are thrilled. Quinn is excited to be a big brother--as he told my parents, "I'm going to be a big brother or a big sister." (We're working on this one!) Quinn's guess is that he'll have a little sister but we'll see when we find out the gender in two months.

Hopefully after much blog silence we'll have a few more stories to share!

Hurrah Hurrah, Meredith is back!

Hurrah, Hurrah on the job!

Hurrah, Hurrah on the newest little one! Quinn is going to be an *awesome* big brother (or sister). :) Looking forward to hearing more news.

ps. Many many dankes for the Handy Manny coloring book that came our way: it has been thoroughly enjoyed.
