World AIDS Day

Today is World AIDS Day. I am reminded of a friend from college in Indiana. Scott was, and I hope still is, one of the most passionate people I've ever met about connecting faith and action together. He was a goofy and caring guy who was quick to laugh and willing to listen. And he cared about the individuals with HIV/AIDS in Indianapolis. There was a hospice that Scott volunteered at--a place where people could receive the care and help that they needed. I went with Scott one time and it was a sweet day to interact with the many people that were there. In various stages of AIDS, each person wanted to be loved and remembered. And I valued Scott's commitment to his friends and putting faith into action.

World Vision
has some positive ways to put faith into action. If you buy a Christmas gift think of the RED campaign.

December 2nd is the first Sunday of Advent--we will focus on the HOPE because of Christ.

Hope--Because if we don't put faith into action, what are we doing?
